Why was Soway created?<\/h2><\/div><\/div>\n\n

In response to the growing demand for very high sun protection, Marie-Claire Castagn\u00e9 decided to specialise in UV- and infrared-protective hats.<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n

The company is based in her home town, La Baule<\/b>, in the Loire-Atlantique region.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Through meetings with dermatologists and other skin specialists, Marie-Claire realised that something was missing from the sun protection market: a lightweight hat that offered very high sun protection and would stay cool in the sun. We all know that hats protect from the sun, but they do not all protect in the same way, just as not all sun creams have the same sun protection factor.<\/p>\n

Marie-Claire\u2019s goal, supported by her husband and later her daughter, was therefore to create the most protective hat possible. However, a protective hat often means a hat that keeps you warm and that you end up taking off because it is heavy (due to the very tight weave required to achieve this high level of protection).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
